Antara & Mohit, The Waldorf Astoria, Ras-Al-Khaimah

"Omggg guysss I have no words. I cannot believe pictures can make you cry. I am so overwhelmed and I just relived my entire wedding through the photo gallery - it captures all the sweet, sad, happy and crazy moments, everything that stands for us and our wedding. I almost wish I looked better or my hair was more perfect, but I can FEEL in every pic how much I've enjoyed and that's what you'll have captured too! So thank you from the bottom of our hearts, for the memories of a lifetime" - Antara

First of all, we want to thank three people without whom this wedding would not have been possible. Amrita (whose wedding we shot in Thailand last November), Devrath (an amazing filmmaker, who you will also remember as the groom from 'Heartbeats', the lovely film by The Wedding Filmer that changed Indian wedding films forever) and most importantly, Ram - a brilliant photographer and a champion of a human being, who we are fortunate to now call a close friend.

Beyond all the spotlights, beyond all the celebrity presence at this wedding, what we saw was two human beings completely and totally in love. Antara - the beautiful, vibrant one. True to her name, watching Antara gracefully do her thing is like watching music come to life. And then we have Mohit - the quiet, intense one, and oh so dapper.

Antara's intimate yet crazy happy haldi at home in Mumbai was followed by all the events at the Waldorf Astoria at Ras-Al-Khaimah. A beautiful afternoon mehendi event started off the proceedings - it included mehendi & tattoo artists & beer in a bathtub (really)! It was a great vibe for all the guests to meet each other for the first time, and set the stage (get it?) for a great sangeet.

Which brings us to the evening. And what an evening it was. Everyone was at their A-game on stage, be it the compering (Arjun is undoubtedly one of the wittiest hosts we've seen) or the dancing on stage. The off-stage dancing was at another level and needless to say, the after party went on for a LONG time.

Mohit's haldi ceremony the next day definitely matched up to Antara's when it came to the craziness quotient. Once the elders were doing applying their share of haldi, Mohit's siblings appeared out-of-nowhere to rip open his kurta and add some wild to the proceedings.

The baraat and the wedding that followed was surreal. Imagine a horse cart being driven for a beach wedding post sunset, the mandap of which happens to be set up in the middle of a swimming pool. Compared to the epic celebration that preceded it and what was to follow, the wedding ceremony was a quiet, intimate one with the vows being taken in a beautiful, powerful manner.

And then, there was the reception. Antara & Mohit made their entry through a fountain of fireworks and Mohit pointed out his big surprise for his bride - Guru Randhawa up on stage, performing specially for her. Baadshah then took the stage and the party went on, and on, and on.

Thank you Antara, Mohit and your families & friends for having us. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and we are so honoured to have been a part of your wedding. Thank you also, to the amazing bunch of photographers on our team - Anushree, Nupur & Lloyd, we couldn't have done this without you.

This post would be incomplete without mentioning the late Srideviji - one of the most talented actors the world has seen, and the very definition of grace & elegance. We consider ourselves fortunate to have witnessed her kindness and warmth in person at Antara & Mohit's wedding.
